Thanks to a dozen of beta testers (Steve, Frank A, Lou G, Geert, Todd, Martin, and other who preferred to contact me by email), Folders Popup has been well tested and is now ready for prime time! This is version 3.1 (releases 3.0.x were used for the beta phase). Here is a slideshow of the renewed menus and dialog boxes and a list of additions and improvements.
At its launch, FoldersPopup add an icon in the System Tray and await your orders.
In a Windows Explorer or a file dialog box, click the Middle mouse button or press Windows-K to popup your favorite folders.
Built-in submenus gives access to Windows "Special folders", "Recent folders" and allow to "Switch" to opened Explorer.
Choose "Settings" to add favorite folders, documents, links or submenus, move, rename or delete them. Click "Save" to save your changes.
To quickly add new folders to your menu: in this folder, click the Middle mouse button (Windows-K) and choose "Add This Folder" (next slide).
Give the folder a short name and select its parent menu, Click "Add" and "Save" in the settings window.
In the "Settings" window, click the "Help" button for a reminder of Folders Popup main features.
Select a favorite and click "Edit" to rename it, edit the destination or move it to another submenu.
Choose the "Menu to edit:" in the dropdown list. Use the Up arrow to move to the parent menu or Left arrow to go back to a previously edited menu.
Switch instantly to any opened Windows Explorer Window or jump to one of these folders in the current dialog box.
Integration with the Windows Explorer replacement software Directory Opus
Configure your popup menu triggers in "Settings, Options". Also, choose your preferred language, set the Startup option, select built-in folders to display, add numeric keyboard shortcuts to the favorites menu or pin the popup menu at a fix position.
Choose your preferred mouse buttons or keyboard shortcuts for: popup menu, popup in a new Explorer and Settings shortcut.
